The unfolding of the E.P.S.
A lesson from E.P.S. takes place in four stages:
The grip, the warm-up, the body of the lesson and the return to calm.
Handling:
Getting started includes the following times:Harmonious grouping of students.
Revision of the dress code.
Presentation of the lesson.
Warm up
The warm-up is a warm-up time provided by a movement based on races, walks at various speeds, hopping and breathing exercises.
The warm-up obeys certain rules:
From a thematic point of view: it must always reflect the specific character of the lesson, of the technical work tackled subsequently.
From a muscular point of view: the different muscle groups must be called upon and more particularly those which will come into action during the session.
The warm-up obeys certain rules:
From a thematic point of view: it must always reflect the proper character From a muscular point of view: the different muscle groups must be solicited and more particularly those which will come into action during the session. The same thing for the main joints.
From the physiological point of view: progressive work should prepare the major functions (respiration and circulation) to support the subsequent effort.
From a psychological point of view: the warm-up exercises solicit the attention of the pupils and awaken their attraction through changes in gait and training.
Body of the lesson:
The lesson itself generally consists of three categories of exercises:
1. General preparation *
The general preparation aims:
- Flexibility: shoulders, arms, legs, hips, trunk **
- Strength training of the arms, legs, trunk.
2. Specific preparation
Depending on the topic of the lesson, specific preparation focuses on:
- Body organization, attitude, relaxation, spatial organization, temporal organization.
-The preparatory exercises for running, jumping, throwing.
-Pre-sports games.
3.
Sports orientation:
According to the theme of the lesson, sports orientation includes sessions of: - Individual sports: gymnastics, athletics.
- Team sports foot-ball, hand-ball, basketball, etc.
The general preparation can possibly be integrated in the training This enumeration does not mean that one must meet in the same session exercises of relaxation of all these body segments The educator choose those which are related to the theme of Lesson
Return to calm
The return to calm. the period of appeasement of the body is a physiological necessity and should not be neglected.
It is provided by:
- A slow walk, accompanied by breathing exercises.
- Relaxation exercises.
- The installation of the material.
- The gathering, with a quick evaluation of the lesson.
NOTE:
This ideal unfolding of an E.P.S. can be changed in practice, depending on various elements:
1. the age of the pupils;
2. their number:
3. the time available;
4.the place where the lesson takes place:
- in the open air (large and equipped stadium, or small, crowded ground, etc.): - indoors (courtyard, gymnasium, room equipped or not);
5. the material available;
6. the level and needs of the pupils, which the educator assesses after several general sessions.
